Amazon’s business model has been defined differently at different times. For example, when Jeff Bezos first started out, he was selling books online; however, today, his company offers everything from groceries to electronics to clothing to toys to furniture to health care items.
Amazon has two main business models: affiliate sales and retail sales. Affiliate sales are when a third party sells items at a discount, and then pays Amazon a commission. Retail sales are when customers purchase items directly from Amazon.
